Team:
I worked with our sales team and lead web developer.
Platform:
Responsive Web
Project Goal:
The main goal was to add a new Reporting section to the Glofox dashboard. This would allow our users to get reports and analyse areas such as revenue, sales and attendance. We wanted to give users full control and flexibility over how these reports would be generated and what data would be included.
My Contribution:
I was the only designer working on this project so I was involved in all stages of the design process, from initial ideation to developer handover.
Process
Research:
As part of my research into this issue I worked closely with the Glofox sales and support team; people who have direct feedback from customers. This allowed me to define the problem at a user level and develop useful ideas. Through these sessions I identified what would and would not work for our users. From this research I compiled a list of all of the report types users needed to generate. This highlighted the need for multiple levels of filters and sub-filters.
Design:
I began to create simple wireframes and prototypes until the I created the finalised design. I then began to work on the visual design by using Sketch to create multiple screens that followed the dashboard's design pattern. This process also included adding visual enhancements to both the dropdown menus and any hover states. I created the final prototype using the Marvel App and then worked with the development team to ensure the design was implemented correctly.
